Flashback to Buenos Aires, Argentina. It’s always an interesting process going back through archived images, because I seem to always find something new and different with a fresh set of eyes.

I took this photo on my journey to Antarctica, probably 3-4 weeks before actually stepping foot on the Antarctic continent for my first time.

When I look at this image now, it feels like it’s a foreshadowing of what 2015 will and has brought both professionally and personally. I feel like I’m moving towards a new place, especially since I’ve had the opportunity to work on some exciting personal projects this year. Perhaps I will look back at this image several years from now and discover an entirely new meaning.

The best part about being self employed is that you get to choose your own adventure.

Tomorrow I will hop on a plane bound for South America and embark on a journey to Antarctica, my final continent, where I will be the Photographer in Residence onboard an expedition ship. Antarctica has been on my bucket list ever since I was in 4th grade, so this will be quite a meaningful adventure.

I’m incredibly grateful and excited for this opportunity, and it all still feels a bit surreal.

Exactly 4 years ago today I relocated to NYC, fresh off of a plane from Sydney, Australia, and literally started over.

I’m incredibly grateful for this journey, and all of the people I’ve met along the way.
